2010 is going to be the year of the Bible at Providence Church. Our church, all ministries from young to old, will be embarking on a journey through the Word; Genesis to Revelation. You will want to be a part of this life changing experience, as learning the heart of God and seeing His plan of redemption to establish a right relationship with a rebellious people is the most amazing story ever told! Providence Church and 247 Men's Ministry presents, Summit #3, Biblical Eldership - The Role of Men in the Church - Churches are good at getting together on Sunday, we're good at singing, we're good at eating, we're good at planning activities for every age group and preference, but how are we doing at fully training men for leadership in the church? If we were succeeding in discipling men the way Jesus did it, there would be no need for this Summit, as our churches would, by very nature, be reproducing themselves at a rate that demanded the regular founding of subsequent local churches. If we're honest, our seats should be full of qualified men for gospel ministry, but we have failed to train them. Godly elders are an endangered species we must not let go extinct. In the absence of their protective servant leadership, the church suffers, as do families and the whole nation. It's our heart to actively engage in the preparing of men for leadership and ministry in the local church, how else can you plant Biblical churches?
